19th century bronze statue "Baccus & Bacchante" by Albert Carrier-Belleuse (1824-1887).
The voluptuous nymph reaches up to anoint the herm of Baccus and exposes the full length of her body. The original life-size marble currently resides at the Musee D'Orsay.
Excellent condition with small horizontal line at the back of the woman's hair which appears to be joinery.
